32 Weeks

That's 8 pounds of baby in my belly! Braysen weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces at birth, so I already have more baby than my body has ever handled (not to mention their fluids and everything else). My water broke at 39 weeks with Braysen, so somewhere in my mind I keep thinking that my body will give in at some point soon. I hope not, I'm not ready for these babies to make their arrival yet.  My perinatologist told me that if I make it to April 3rd, each baby will probably be about 6 pounds. A good weight for each baby, but holy moly that's a whole  lot of weight for mama's belly!

I spent the night in the hospital last week on Sunday. I started having contractions that would not stop. As it turns out, my ketones were super high, so they decided my contractions were caused by dehydration.  They hooked me up to an IV for fluids and made me drink a ton of water. My contractions slowed down a ton, so they monitored the babies for a little while and then sent me on my merry way.

I've always been good about drinking a ton of water, but I guess it just wasn't enough that day. It really scared me to think the girls could be born that early, so it was a huge wake up call for me. I have been downing even more fluids than ever before and have been trying to take it easy (ha, as if that's even possible).

I still am having contractions every day, but I think they're just Braxton Hicks because they are not regular and seem to come more frequently if I have a busy day.

I started my NSTs last week and at each one I have been to, they have a hard time not only getting Brynlee's heartbeat on the monitor, but also keeping it on the monitor. She moves around so much that they have to keep moving the monitor to keep up with her. Anybody shocked about this? Anybody?

I know these babies could easily come at any time, but I'm hoping to make it through both Braysen's birthday and Easter before they arrive. There are a lot of people that think otherwise, myself included.  My perinatologist said that in singleton pregnancies he likes to see a cervical length of 25 and with twins he likes to see 20. He told me that my cervical length is 45 and that I have a "cervix of steel" and things are looking great, so we will see!

30 Weeks

30 weeks and still trucking along! This week's picture is a few days late, so it's more like 30 weeks and 4 days.  Oops!

My doctor has scheduled my delivery for April 3rd.  It's exciting that I actually have a date, but a little scary that I am close enough to the end of this pregnancy to have a delivery date! I will be already be almost 38 weeks by then, I hope I can keep these little babes cooking until then!

Next week I have to start visiting the hospital twice a week for Non Stress Tests. They will monitor the babies for about a half an hour each visit. My doctor told me that if they determine that the babies aren't doing as well as they would like them to be doing and they think they'll do better outside my body, they will deliver them right then and there! Holy moly!

Our hospital bags have been packed since the early end of January and will be put in the car for every doctor and hospital visit from here on out - just in case.

Brynlee & Berlyn's Baby Shower

I'm finally getting around to blogging about the baby shower! Most of these pictures you've probably already seen, since my mom posted pictures within hours of the shower ending. She's crazy like that.

My mom and my friend Carolyn threw the shower and they did a fabulous job! I had mentioned before that this shower was going to be much smaller than the shower I had when I was pregnant with Braysen. It was, but it still seemed like there were a lot of people there! The girls were spoiled (of course) by our friends and family.  I've spent the last two weeks washing and putting everything away. The nursery is almost complete. I will post some pictures soon.

My Aunt Jennifer made these cute little name signs for the girls.

 Hot chocolate bar! Yum!

Ashton and Sawyer checking out the sweets.

 Love all these ladies!!

We always make the mistake of taking pictures and the end of events. I look so tired and huge by the end of the day!

Braysen did not attend the shower. I just thought it would be too hard to chase him around and be worried about what he was doing and I was worried that it would be too much for him with all the gifts for the babies. Plus, the shower started right at naptime. After he woke up, Tony brought him over so he could say hi to everybody and eat some of the goodies.

Me and my mom. I know, I look sooo tired! I was!

Tony loading up all the loot. It took both of our cars to get it all home!

This is why you haven't seen much of me lately. :) All these bags and boxes have kept me very busy! Thank goodness my mom came over a couple of days to help me!

Dland for Miss Sawyer's Birthday

I have really not been keeping up with my blog lately. There has been so much going on around here the last couple of weeks, so I have lots to blog about, I just haven' been able to find the time to do it!

I'm not moving as quickly these days, I get tired and winded very quickly, and it takes me a while to recover from even a normal outing to the store. So when we went to Disneyland for Sawyer's birthday I was laid out for two whole days after - no joke! This is so unlike me, so I have started to get very frustrated that my body will not let me do all the things I want to do. I am listening to it and I am resting when I should because these babies still need to cook a while longer, it's just definitely not easy for me.

Disneyland last week was way too much fun. We took Braysen way back for his first birthday and bought year passes, so we were lucky enough to be able to take him a few times that year. But I was teaching at the time and every time we went it was either a school break or a weekend and it was always so packed. Then Dland raised their rates for their passes the following year and we just decided it wasn't worth it. We ended up getting a Knott's pass instead. It was a lot cheaper and I was able to take Braysen on every ride and he was able to see every character in one day.

But this trip he was finally old enough to where he actually knew what was going on.  He talked about every day for the week before we went and had a hard time sleeping the night before. I can totally remember being exactly like that before a Dland day when I was little. :)

I'm glad we were able to take him one more time before the girls get here, because I don't know how many times we will be able to get out of the house in the next few years.  ;)

In case you were wondering, yes, we used my handicap placard to score some great parking, and yes I was wheeled around in a wheelchair all day. It was so embarrassing! But it was the only way I was allowed to go, according to my mom, Tony, and Valerie. It was one of the stipulations so I sucked it up and let somebody push me around all day.

Not my favorite picture of the day, but it's the only one with all 3 of us

It was pretty deserted so we let the kiddos run around a bit to burn off some energy. It's nearly impossible for 2 and 3 year olds to sit in strollers all day. For the record I have never seen Disneyland look like this, every other time I have been, it is wall-to-wall people everywhere!

"It's a Small World" I'm pretty sure this was the look on his face through this whole ride

The birthday girl!

Making wishes

Yeah we're dorks. I guess there are 2 pictures of the three of us!

I LOVE the look on Sawyer's face in this picture!

Rough day!
