You Know You're the Mommy of a Little Boy When...

he tells you he's sad because his motorcycle rider "Can't reach to scratch his booty" because his arms don't bend that way. Really? Who worries about whether or not their toy can scratch its own butt??

A Little Painting

This morning we worked on our letter of the week, which is O. I'll post some of the activities we did at the end of the week.

We then did some marble painting. Braysen was into it for about 3 minutes. He then decided that he wanted to roll the marble with paint on the floor. When he realized I was not going to let that happen, he decided that he was done with the marble and just wanted to paint.

Noodles & Cereal

Today we worked on fine motor skills. This only lasted a few minutes before he decided it was more fun to eat the cereal, break the spaghetti noodles into teeny tiny pieces and roll the play dough into snakes. At least it gave me a few minutes to put groceries away without his "help".

Please don't mind the fact that my kid is in his underwear, well, most of the time. I'm really lucky to be able to keep that on him. I swear he was wearing clothes at the grocery store. But as I was unloading groceries, he took off his hat, shoes, and stripped down to his chonies. Lucky for me he knows where to put all of these things when he takes them off, unlike somebody else who lives in this house.  :)

He then decided that it would be a good idea to help me paint. He asked for a paintbrush so he could work. I put a little water on it and he went on his merry way touching up the paint in the living room.

You Know You're the Mommy of a Little Boy When...

he laughs hysterically and then tells you it's because his poop in the toilet looks like a spaceship.

A Day at the Fire Station

Tony's cousin Heather met us at the fire station where her husband JD works so Braysen could have a look around. He has a fire station Lego set that he has been a little obsessed with these past few weeks, so we decided that we were due for a visit.  Unfortunately, the visit was at naptime, so Braysen was sleepy and very mellow the whole time, but he just took everything in! Sorry for the overload of pictures, but I had a hard time choosing just a few!

They got a call right when we got there, but JD wasn't part of the group that had to leave. Braysen got to watch the truck leave with its lights on. Pretty exciting!

JD did a great job of giving his tour and letting Braysen climb all over the ladder truck.

Braysen even got to go for a short ride!

He tried on some gear.

He played with some rope.

He checked out some photos.

And did some lifting in their weight room.

Thank you JD!!!!
